Did you know?-

Traditionally rissole are made with peanuts for their fillings, I’ve taken peanuts out for my version of rissole dumplings for our common allergens and have replaces with Jicama (a root vegetable), brings the perfect crunchy texture!

Ingredients:

Water, potato starch, cilantro, five spice powder, jicama, carrots, oil (sesame and soybean), salt, white pepper

Allergen: Soy, Wheat

Steaming Method:

• Set up a steamer (you can use a bamboo steamer, or a metal one that fits in a pot of simmering water on high heat).
• Line the steamer basket with parchment paper or cabbage leaves to prevent the dumplings from sticking.
• Arrange the dumplings in the steamer, making sure they don’t touch each other.
• Steam the dumplings over medium heat for about 10 minutes  from frozen form (or until the wrappers are translucent and the filling is cooked through).
